We arrange for rides to doctors and similar appointments when no one else is available. Our drivers are volunteers who use their own cars and gas. Our service is free of charge. We serve the Allegany, Hinsdale, Olean, Portville and Salamanca (limited service) areas. Please allow 3-5 business days for scheduling transportation.
Vision Loss Service
We represent the Olean Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. We can assist with funding for eye exams and eye glasses, provide vision loss tools, and we conduct a monthly vision loss support group meeting.
Gift Tree Program
Gift Tree is a community gift giving program for local impoverished families. Interfaith Caregivers partners with the Olean Times Herald and local human service agencies to share the spirit of the holiday season.
"Thank you so much for coming to my aid when I was stranded for a ride home from Olean General Hospital. I am deeply grateful."
"We believe you provide an important service to those who count on your volunteers for transportation and compassion."
"I hope you know how much your organization means to me since I am not driving anymore. I am grateful for your help."
"The Gift Tree program helped me provide a Christmas for my little ones. Since being laid off, things have been really tight financially. It meant the world to see my kids smiling on Christmas morning."
"We look forward to adopting a family on the Gift Tree each year. It brings my family together while doing something positive for others."
"Your services for the visually impaired helped me get my new glasses. I can see so much better! Thank you!"
